Sažetak
According to geological structure of Croatia in the Croatian mining industry predominant role have the petroleum and natural gas exploitation. The coal production is declining continuously in last three centuries, and in 1999 is going completely to vanish. Second important group of raw minerals in Croatian mining industry are non-metal raw minerals. Croatia produced sufficient quantities of construction raw materials (stone: crushed and bilding, sand and gravel, clay and cement rocks) and some industrial minerals. In the group of metal raw minerals Croatia has long tradition in open pit and underground exploitation of bauxite.
