Sažetak
Methods of the in vitro fertilization have achieved a significant development for the past twenty years. Most of the efforts have been concentrated on the quality controlled ovarian stimulation by exogen hormones. However, nowadays embryos as the final products of the in vitro fertilization have been more emphasized. Necessary prerequisite for that are quality gametes, especially oocytes. This paper analyses the oocyte maturity, fertilization and dynamics development of human embryo in natural and stimulated IVF cycles. Oocyte maturity stages have been analyzed by the presence of the polar body as an indicator of the second meiosis (MI and MII stage) as well as GV and BDGV stage. The first day after the fertilization the presence of the pronucleus has been marked (-PN, +PN). Main characteristics of the embryo development the second and the third day have been: the number of blastomeras (from 2 to 8), the equality of blastomeras (symmetric and asymmetric) and cell fragmentation (< 20, 20-40 and >40 %).
