Sažetak
Congestion and flow control mechanisms used in
TCP/IP netwokrs are substensially different from
the mechanisms used in ATM networks. As a
consequence, heterogenous network configurations
in which TCP protocol is used on top of ATM
network exhibit various performance and efficiency
problems. Adequate analysis of these problems and
their possible solutiobs mandates the use of a
network simulator. The developed network
simulator, xGlobe, is described in this paper.
