Sažetak
This paper presents the curent state, objectives and development strategies of tourism in Zadar County. It seek to generate new trends in event tourism and to provide the answers on how to develop built attraction and events to achieve excellence, authenticity and distinctiveness. Rethinking development and repositioning call for the synergistic action of all tourism supply provides in organizing original, inventive and distincive festivals and events founded on indigenous values and native culture, which will help to differntiate the County s offering from the uniform, global offering and from the activities of its rivals.
