Sažetak
The results show that the fall of plasma corticosterone (CS) levels induced by the low dose of diazepam was blocked by picrotoxin, indicating that the stimulation of GABA-A receptors inhibits the release of CS. The elevation of plasma CS induced by a high dose of diazepam was unaffected by picrotoxin, inhibited by clonidine, and the effect of clonidine was abolished with yohimbine, suggesting that the effect was mediated by blockade of alpha2 adrenergic receptors.
