Sažetak
In recent years airports have become more commercialy oriented and have endeavoured to result in an increasing share of their revenues from non-aeronautical or commercial activities. If an airport authority aims to follow the strategic option of the commercial airport model then the primary issue is to ensure that it has the proper organizational structure to do this. On the contrary, in airports operated on a traditional airport model basis there is very little importance given to commercial activities. Furthermore, there is no explicit centre of responsibility for expanding, organizing and bringing together the airports` total commercial potential. An example of Dubrovnik Airport whose organization is focused on maximizing commercial revenues will be discussed. It is apparent that commercial activities are given high prominence and authority within the overall management of the airport
