Sažetak
The article proposes a planning procedure for the optical packet switch based network. The pan european network with COST 266 proposed topologies served as input data. Cell loss ratios and packet buffering times were the comparison categories. A simple switch model with tuneable converters and output buffering has been analysed using the Markov chain description. The model was mathematically formulated and implemented using the CANPC tool.
