Sažetak
The possibility of utilizing steel slag produced in Croatian plant as an aggregate in concrete was investigated in this paper. Therefore, concrete mixtures with coarse slag fractions were prepared and their properties in hardened state (compressive and flexural strength, corrosion susceptibility) were compared with properties of reference concrete made of commonly used aggregate from natural sources - dolomite. According to hitherto explicit test results it can be concluded that here observed slag can be a good substitute for aggregate out of natural sources - by their use in concrete contribution for environment preserving will be given.
