Sažetak
PLIVA Discovery Research has been focussed in only two therapeutic areas in order to build up globally competitive R&D: Anti-infectives & Anti-inflammatories. New collaborations has been established with a number of companies and universities including Althexis, GlaxoSmithKline, IRB, Leibnitz Institute of Plant Biochemistry, and Universities in and outside Croatia. Our approach is consisted of: • Classical and combinatorial chemistry, molecular modelling, SBDD, HTS, proteomics… • Structure determination and conformational study by NMR, X-ray diffraction, macromolecular crystallography • Strategy: more modelling and less measurements • MSI life science software package - Recent implementations “Sample Flow” in general is the process from Chemical laboratories through the Analytical Center to Compounds Bank and HTS (primary and secondary screening), generating HITS and LEADS. Compound Bank & Database main goals are: • Unique way of handling with the samples produced in PLIVA R&D. • Higher purity and better quality of stored compounds (GLP conditions). • In PLIVA Database all available physico-chemical properties, experimental and calculated results about all compounds in PLIVA R & D. • Improved quality of work and better results for all users
