Sažetak
The goal of this thesis is to provide a better understanding of the relationships between inputs, processes, and outcomes in the Croatian higher education system. The focus is on three aspects of the educational production that have generated a lot of debate, not only in the Croatian but also in European and US higher education systems, namely, student attainment, non-completion and the time taken to complete studies. These areas of investigation are frequently neglected in the economics of education literature and therefore this research programme, through analysing them, potentially makes a significant contribution to knowledge.
