Sažetak
Following the legend of the miraculous arrival of the Holy House of Nazareth in Trsat in May of 1291 (and its subsequently miraculous departure in December of 1294) the first shrine was built in form of a smaller chapel and soon rebuilt in a church in the 15th century. We will discuss the oldest documents and knowledge about the shape and form of the Nazareth's house and its perception in time, as well as its connection with the Holy Land architecture. From the beginning it became an important pilgrimage site with the monastery.
