Sažetak
The purpose of these investigations was to define the biocenotic and trophic structure of ciliate associations in different types of periphyton communities in karst running waters. The importance of this analysis is based on two facts. Firstly, the periphytic communities are widely distributed biocenological systems in the benthos of karst waters and secondly, the ciliated protozoa are significant link in food chains between bacteria, detritus and algal flora on the one hand and metazoans on the other hand.
