Sažetak
Geostrategic signifficance of Croatian territory for the establishment of road links on the Mediterranean and the Central and Eastern Europe is presented. Present condition of the road network is outlined and the future traffic forecast is presented. An overview of European roadways and corridors passing through Croatia is given. The plan and program of national road network development along these corridors is presented and the need for recognizing and accepting the adriatic corridor as one of European corridors is explained.
