Sažetak
Objective was to compare quality of life in schizophrenic patients taking typical and atypical antipsychotics. QLS was used to assess the quality of life in 100 patients with paranoid schizophrenia, according to DSM-IV-TR criterion. First asessment was made upon inclusion, second assessment was made after six months of continuous treament with typical or atypical antipsychotics. At baseline, patinents treated with atypical antipsychotics showed higher level of social activity. At second assessment, patients treated with atypical antipsychotics showed significantly higher level of social activity, intimate relationships and active acquaintaces. Patients treated with atypical antipsychotics showed significantly higher level of social activity, intimate relationships and active acquaintaces on QLS.
