Sažetak
The aim of the paper is to research the influence of current global financial crises on today’s financial structure in Croatia. The paper analyses the trends in financial structure in Croatia through the numerous indicators like the number and structure of financial institutions and markets, their assets and other categories which represent their main activities, efficiency ratios, trading volumes on financial markets etc. The goal of this paper is to introduce future expectations for Croatian financial system, to critically evaluate consequences from global financial crises on financial structure development and to indicate on degree of Croatian financial service industry integration into European financial market. Despite the Croatian financial system is relatively small the paper will try to prove that there is significant regulators, government and policy makers incentives to reform Croatian financial structure into modern and developed financial system, competitive and contemporary with developed financial systems in the world.
