Sažetak
The author analyzes two painitings by Paolo Pagani (Castello Valsoda, 1655 - Milan, 1716) from Zadar and Dubrovnik which have been commissinod for the altars of the same name which exhisted in the church of St. Donatus and St. Grisogono. In 1699 the altar of the Holy Trinity in the chuch of St, Donatus became associated with a shipwrights guild which could provide the mony for the commisson of the altar paintinig. The altare of the same name in the Benedictine church of St. Grisogono was cnosecratetd in the 1679, exactly at the tame when Pagani could have made the painiting whose features resemble those of his earliest works. The painitinig from the Ucović collection in Dubrovnik is Pagani,s more mature work and could be dated immidiately before the artists departure for Moravia in 1690.
