Sažetak
All adult flowering individuals of the western lily (Lilium occidentale) were mapped at Nature Conservancy preserve Bastendorff Bog, and it was argued that aggressive successional development of competitive shrub and tree vegetation is the major threat to this population. Recommendations were made to manually clear or burn select portions of the bog to convert the vegetation to an early successional stage more favorable to the survival and reproduction of western lily.
