Sažetak
The analyses indicated that the shipbuilding industry is trying to solve its problems in the old adversarial ways. Consequently, local suppliers are suffering under the combined wight of late payments and poor returns on contract work. Local suppliers are losing their capacity and their motivation to work in the shipbuilding industry. We indicated the emergence of some very interesting examples of the sort of bottom-up initiatives which could form the basis for a proto-industrial policy in the region, which would counter the obvious longer term threat to the local supplier base.
