Sažetak
A model is developed to estimate production capacity of water bodies based on nutrient inputs from aquaculture, flushing rates, and risk of algal blooms for three areas of the Philippines: Bolinao bay, Dagupan estuary and Taal lake. Results suggest: a) aquaculture in Bolinao is close to carrying capacity ; b) Dagupan aquaculture has not ovecome its carrying capacity even during low flow ; c) Taal aquaculture has overcome its carrying capacity.
