Sažetak
Early indentification and confirmed diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction is of vital importance for correct treatment of disease, affecting also the survival of the patient. Several biochemical parameters have been recommended as possible markers of acute myocardial infarction. in this work, we examined the sensitivity of the following biochemical markers: CK, CKMB, myoglobin and coronary troponin T. A total of 187 patients with confirmed diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction were included, but only nine received streptocinase for reperfusion. Blood samples were taken on admission of patient and every 4 hours on day 1, evera 6 hours on day 2, and on days 3, 4, 5, 7 and 10. Examination was performed in order to establish the possible difference in the sensitivity of these markers that would be significant enough to influence diagnosis and prognosis. The examination showed the earliest occurence of increased myoglobin was 1-2 hours after the pain appeared. Troponin T sensitivity was higher as compared to myoglobin sensitivity (0, 89 vs 0, 44 respectively). Diagnostic sensitivity of CKMB was higher when expressed in absolute (U/L) rather then relative units.
