Uzorci su skupljeni u tri hrvatske regije: Gorski kotar, Lika i Dalmatinska zagora. Odredili smo u estalost pojavljivanja (%) pojedinih kategorija nalaza u uzorcima i udio u estalosti (%) pojedinih vrsta koje su plijen vuka. U Gorskom kotaru glavni plijen vuka bili su divlji parnoprstaai (77,8%), a u Lici joa i glodavci. U Dalmatinskoj zagori prevladava stoka koje se pojavljuje u 84,4% uzoraka. Utvrene su sezonske razlike u odabiru plijena. Divlji parnoprstaai viae su se pojavljivali u uzorcima hladnog razdoblja (44,9%), a stoka (80,6%) i beskraljeЪnjaci u toplom dijelu godine. QUALITATIVE ANALYSES OF WOLF DIET IN CROATIA Grey wolf (Canis lupus) food habits have been studied in the mountainous parts of Croatia by analyses of scats (N=73) and stomach contents (N=7) collected in the period 1988 to 1998. Samples were collected in three Croatian regions: Gorski kotar, Lika and Dalmatinska zagora. We have determined the frequency of occurrence (%) of individual food items in samples as well as the share of frequency (%) of individual prey species. In Gorski kotar the main wolf prey were wild ungulates (77,8%), as well as in Lika where the rodents were frequent too. In Dalmatinska zagora livestock appeared in 84,4% samples. Seasonal differences in the prey selection have been determined. Wild ungulates were more frequent in the samples collected during cold periods (44,9%) and livestock (80,6%) and invertebrates in the warm part of the year.
