Sažetak
The result of renewed, extended archaeological digs suggest that there were three stages in the development of the Episcopal complex in Poreč, in relation to the Road network. The construction of the first basilica can be traced to the period between the end of the fourth and the beginning of the fifth century ; the second known as "Pre-Euphrasian", in the fifth century ; the third, namely the Euphrasian period, in the mid-sixth century. It emerges that the first church building was a complex, divided into at least five rooms, including a hall for the Eucharist and a baptismal font. The complex was preceded and unified by the narthex, an atrium ending in the apse. Typological similarities with Basilica of Aquileia can be observed.
