Sažetak
The aim of the study was to examine the consequences of mobbing on health status in a sample of 177 hospital nurses, 19 to 59 years of age. We constructed 54-items instrument for determining of mobbing behaviour last 12 months, which was composed of following factors: attack on professional status (α=0.96), attack on personality (α=0.89), sexual harassment (α=0.70) and individual's isolation from work environment (α=0.87). Croation version of SF-36 questionnaire was used for evaluate nurses' health status. The subjects also assessed their satisfaction of job, colleagues, family and life. Nurses who had been exposed to different forms of mobbing behaviour experienced various health symtoms. Furthermore, they were significantly more dissatisfied with their job, colleagues and life. We also find that 28% nurses were into a helpless position and consequently had lower physical and mental health. These results have shown that the experience of various forms of mobbing predicted physical and mental functioning.
