Sažetak
Proposed presentation will try to depict the present condition of the Croatian literature. In order to provide the necessary background, the presentation will also offer a basic and critical overview of roots and later trajectories in Croatian literature, from the beginning of this corpus to the present moment, with particular focus on last two decades of the Croatian literary life. Micro-ruptures and turmoils within the Croatian mainstream are inevitably related to the social precursors and the ideological context (diagrams of the social turned into discursive environment). Therefore, while avoiding vulgar notions of milieu or methodological apparatus belonging to the traditional sociology of literature, the presentation will try to relate broader conditions of emergence and the everydayness of literary life to the style and public activities of prominent younger writers.
