Sažetak
Summer and winter seasons have been analysed from a comprehensive set of 120-day integrations with ECMWF NWP model. Model climate reproduces well major large-scale circulation features, although the zonalization of planetary waves is seen. Monsoon flow is somewhat weaker than observed. Interannual variability is represented reasonably well in the model, especially over the PNA region. Blocking frequency in the southern hemisphere has no interannual variation, despite large observed year-to-year differences.
