Sažetak
Application of total stations in measuring purposes enable accurate, quality and speeding up of measuring process. The purpose of the paper is to give an introduction about total station and their application in shipbuilding industry. The main parts regarding total station and their functions are elaborated. At shipbuilding industry at some production procedures as assembly and pre assembly of ship sections it is necessary to make measuring inspection of measures that are predetermined with the drawing. Application of total station in listed purposes enables measuring dimensional inspection and monitoring of building of ships from the beginning to the end of production process.
