Sažetak
Modern development of machine tools and CNC systems has made the machining of more and more demanding constructive solutions possible. The machining of external and internal threads and bores longer than 10xD is performed mostly on lathes but only for products of parts of machines which are of rotations shape. A resaerch has been done concerning the machining of external threads by millng as well as drilling and the machining of bores D = 100 H7, 1200 mm long on the carrier of non-rotational shape. In order to perform a thread milling operation , a milling machine with three-axis control capable of helical interpolation is required. To solve the above mentioned machining procedure, softwere program CATIA has been used, and the machining has been successfully completed on CNC horizontal drilling-milling machine Shiess with Sinumeric 8MC controls.
