Sažetak
The influence of Ca/Zn stabilizer on the thermal degradation of the poly(vinyl chloride)/ chlorinated polyethylene (PVC/CPE) blends of different compositions in inert was investigated by means of dynamic thermogravimetry in the temperature range of 50 - 600oC. The immiscibility of the blends was established by means of differential scanning calorimetry for all the investigated compositions of nonstabilized and stabilized PVC/CPE blends. To estimate the thermal stability of the blends the characteristics of the thermogravimetric (TG) curves were used. The kinetic analysis was applied to the first step of the thermal degradation of the blends, where the basic degradative reactions were the dehydroclorination of PVC and CPE. The apparent activation energies and preexponential factors were calculated by applying Flynn-Wall-Ozawa and Kissinger methods. The compensation dependance (E / ln Z) between these parameters was found for all the investigated compositions of the nonstabilized and stabilized PVC/CPE blends.
