Sažetak
The hair and blood multielement profile (42 elements)was compared in depressed and control subjects. The elements tend to deposit preferentially to the hair, some of the blood samples were below the dtection limits. An intricate pattern of trace element was observed. This is the first report to show that the hair and blood multielemenyt profile was different between the depressed and control subjects, indicating the difference in the underlaying molecular/bichemical mechanism/s in health and disease.
