Sažetak
At the end of seventeenth and the beggining of the eighteenth century whole Adriatic region was facing completely new geopolital situation, connected with a two peace treatment between Venice Republic and the Ottoman Empire. Those two treatments, the one from the 1699. and the other from the 1718. have created a new border situation between those states, and at the same time caused economical and social changes, together with a stronge migrations from the one side of the border to another, on both sides. These was the facts which strongly affected everyday life in those areas, through the whole eighteenth century. At the first side, that was a period of a long peace, after few centuries of latent war, which on the other side helped a growth of a marittime/trade relations between dalmatian and italian ports and caused more intensive connections beween coast towns and their hinterland, and also beween those towns and the Bosnian areas, together with a proccess of a pre/industrialization in the region. The main question of this work will be in concerning how did Venice Republic, together with it s own patriciate faced a new situation in Dalmatia, especcially with the construction of new Dalmatian society and integration of two pretty diferent ways of life, the one from the old coastal society and the other from the new population of the hinterland. That proccess will also be analized throught the need for the strong reforms ih whole Republic and throught the new meaning of Dalmatia in eighteenth century mitology of Republic.
