Sažetak
Since the mid-18th century various authors have been dealing with systematic anthropometric comparisons among individuals, races, social communities and special populations. After finishing the comprehensive national project Croatian Anthropometric System further measurements have been undertaken based on the results and scientific selection among the age groups of defined body proportions. These anthropometric measurements include top athletes in 5 kinds of sport. One of these measurements and results is presented in this paper. The primary objective of the paper is to show the differences and body dimensions found between the trained and untrained population in the Republic of Croatia as an important element for the predestination of sports results.
