Sažetak
Cancer is a polygenetically determined disease. Cancer cells accumulate series of somatic genetic changes. The aim of this bioanthropological research is the analysis of dermatoglyphics in different types of lung cancer, and different types of other carcinomas. The discriminant analysis was carried out on the sample of a group of 899 patients with eight types of carcinoma: four types of lung carcinoma, carcinoma of the thyroid gland, colon carcinoma; breast carcinoma, and carcinoma of the uterine cervix and comparative group of 400 phenotypically healthy persons. Discriminant classification is very high between patients suffering from carcinoma and controls in males and in females. The graphical presentation shows two different clusters the first is formed by all types of lung cancer and carcinoma of the thyroid gland, breast carcinoma and carcinoma of the uterine cervix. The second cluster is formed by controls and colon cancer. This findings clearly show that the different types of carcinoma contain genetic changes developed during the early intrauterine life. Cancers are biologically heterogeneous and between different cancers there is a pathological distinct.
