Sažetak
The paper presents the possibilities and contemporary ways of using spatial data. The democratisation of spatial data usage is one of the results of general social adaptation to computer technology. Legal acts and regulation of standards are permanent tasks that should follow the news and changes in GIS and in those disciplines that use spatial data. Copyright and secret protection in connection with the spatial data in Croatia is specially dealt with in the paper.
