Sažetak
Today, when the changes are the only thing that is constant, management based on lean principles has proved as an excellent tool for attaining high levels of flexibility. Small batches are the major prerequisite for flexibility and readiness of the company for the quick response to those changes. But when process industry is the case, there is an obstacle in achieving small batches production and that is set up time. This paper presents how it is possible by using Kaizen workshops (also one of the lean tools) to manage shorter set-up time on machines in process industry.
