Sažetak
Nutrient uptake by plants is under considerable genetic influence (Saric 1981 ; Kovacevic 1984). Six maize inbred lines (Os657, ND301, ND246, Os138, Os77 and Os656) and their 30 hybrids (complete diallel crossing) were grown on Osijek eutric cambisol (three replications, exp. plot 7m2). Based on their the ear-leaf nitrogen status, they were estimated and analyzed GCA and SCA genetic parameters (Table 2). Also, they were made Vr and Wr regression analysis, as well as components of variance and heritability (Singh et al. 1993). Considerable genetic influence on plant N status in maize was found by our testing (Tab. 1 and 2). Table 1. Significant specific effects were estimated for Os 77 x Os 138, Os 656 x Os 77 and Os 656 x Os 138 combinations. Significant differences in CA for reciprocal crosses showed reciprocal effects in inheritance of the trait investigated. Also, Simic (1994) estimated high significant reciprocal effects by quantitative analysis of yield and its components. Analysis of components of genetic variance (according to Mather and Jinks 1971) showed predominance of dominant component of genetic variance (overdominance, H1/D=1.624), which was also confirmed by dominant genes frequency (U=0.514). For Vr Wr regression, there was no significant difference from 1 (b = 0.85 0.2034). Heritability estimation (h2=0.8597) was done followed Singh et al. (1993) based on heredity varying portion in total phenotype variability among tested hybrids. Table 2.
