Sažetak
BHK 21 C13 cells are widely commercially used in the production of foot and mouth disease vaccine as well as in the production of the vaccine against Aujeszky disease. This application has lead to investigations on increasing cell yields in suspension culture. Described results have shown that the best results are obtained when the horse serum, Glasgow BHK 21 medium and initial cell concentration 1-3 x 10exp5 cells/ml are used. When the serum is partialy replaced with the new growth promoter CABRPP, better cell yields are also obtained.
