Sažetak
We ivestigated some problems of fertilty in coldblooded mares which are breeding for meat production in extensive way of pasturing on overflowed meadows areas. The horses are pastured, without additional food early in the spring (March) till late in the Autumne (October). We controled in period 1993-1995 total 724 mares. The fertility of mares was high - 82, 46%. During gravidity 90 mares aborted (late abortuses), 12 foals died in foaling, and 36 foals died during first 30 days after foaling. From 724 mares we had finaly 456 foals older than 30 days of 63, 40%. Problems of late aortuses, foaling and death of foals, were greater problems than infertility in such way of horse production.
