Sažetak
The aim of this study was tp determine which line of stallions, regarding their participation, suits best for breeding of the Lipizzaner horse breed both in studs and in popular folks breeding. The investigations were carried out on five stud farms for horse breeding: Đakovo, Karađorđevo, Lipica, Lipik and Prnjavor, with 153 Lipizzaner breed stallions and 117 animals of male breed offsprings older than one year. The data used by this study were taken from the parent book- keeping evidence. The share of individual breed lines varies with respect to breeding tradition and duration of the breeding work. Among eight lines the greatest share of stallions belongs to the line Siglavy, wheraeas the lowest one belongs to the line Incitato.
