Sažetak
Historically, one of the major obstacles during nodalization development was related to
the memory restrictions of RELAP5 code. New versions of the RELAP5/MOD3.2 code
significantly increased code capacity regarding number of nodes or level of nodalization
detail, and opened space for new modeling approaches.
This article presents the assessment of detailed, sliced discretization approach based on
the transient analysis performed with the RELAP5/MOD3.2.2gama computer code. Both
analysis are related to the experiments (tests 9.1b and 6.2tc) performed in the BETHSY
integral test facility. Comparative assessment includes experimental data, calculated results
from previously developed nodalization for RELAP/MOD2 (and adopted for
RELAP5/MOD3.2) and the new more detailed sliced nodalization.
