Sažetak
The Mura depression belongs to the marginal SW part of the Pannonian basin and is located in the NW part of Croatia, partly extending into Republic of Slovenia. Several gas-condensate fields and smaller number of oil accumulations are located in the area. Geological and geochemical investigations have identified source rocks in different stratigrafical levels at depths exceeding 3000 m. Dense, silty marls and limy pelites of Eggerburgian age are the sources of wet gas and condensates. Mature, oil-prone facies and maturity of identified source rocks are in accordance with reservoir hydrocarbons, which indicates short migration distances. Specific lithological and physical properti of reservoir and cap rocks additionally affected hydrocarbon composition in the accumulation.
