Sažetak
Slavonija and Baranja (the region of eastern Croatia) possesses the very significant potential of renewable energy sources, specially needs point out the biomass from the forestry and rests from the agricultural production, and geothermal sources and solar energy. As an agricultural region, which has and significant industrial capacities (food, chemical and the metal-working industry) Slavonija has good opportunities that develops the exploitation of renewable energy sources. This is specially importantly therefore which region poorly has been developed. Towards realized GDP per capita all five Slavonian counties is under the average of Republic of Croatia. In this article exhibit defined potentials of renewable energy sources in the area of regions, gives the examination of initiated projects, points out the problem in the complex valorization of potentials of renewable energy sources and represent research activities of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Osijek on this area.
