Sažetak
The last global survey studies among project management professionals clearly indicate an improvement of ICT project successfulness in the last 15 years. It is the result of a systematic implementation of software engineering and other managerial methods and techniques in ICT industry in the last 15 – 20 years. However, these results have still place for further improvement(s). Project Management Office (PMO) concept is one of the newest and fastest growing concepts in project management today. This concept, only about 10 years old, is successfully used in many vertical industry segments – ICT is one of them. The spread and growth of PMOs is a great indicator that companies recognize critical value of successful PMO. In 2007, 54% surveyed companies had enterprise-wide PMO in place (in 2007) – it is a major jump from 35% in 2006. PMO concept is still in evolving phase and its further maturing is possible.
