Sažetak
The paper presents empirical research of the business efficiency of the biggest hotel and toursim companies in Croatia. The hierarchy of pre-management values takes into account that should seve as efficiency indicators. It is commonly accepted concept in theory and practice. The static and dynamical analyses as well as the relative efficiency analysis were applied. The research results obtained in this way reflect the typical business efficiency of the biggest hotel and tourist companies in Croatia ; they reflect changes in their business efficiency since the research covers a period of three years. They allow for comparison with the results of the research of the business efficiency of the 400 biggest Croatian companies. The results of the research have confirmed the prevailing notion that the business efficiency is very low, that it has imporved marginally over the observed three-year period, and that the hotel and tourist companies lag behind other companies.
