Sažetak
Paper deals with the investigation of spectral properties of cotton fabric treated with water extract of the plant marigold flowers. Color cotton fabric is a spectrophotometric analysis. Spectral distribution of reflection curves is identical for all samples, due to the same solution - a water extract of Marigold, while the intensity of reflection varies depending on the applied treatment procedures. Processing procedures differ in the applied mordant. Reflection curves of treated samples are lower in the diagram in relation to the curve of untreated-control sample. Spectral K/S values are also determined and they depend on the intensity of color in the material, increasing the depth of shades, K/S increases and these curves in the diagram above the K/S for the control sample. All this means that during the processing of all samples of different colored intensity according to the procedure, which is confirmed by the values of the degree of brightness, and processed samples (lower L value) are darker shade compared to the control samples (higher L value). Also vary, and other parameters CIEL*a*b* system. From the standpoint of environmental protection, processing plant extract can be real substitution process synthetic colors as to get good results coloring textiles.
