Sažetak
The paper submits that Merryman's old trytochomy of legal traditions - division on civil law, common law and socialist law - has still some relevance today, as a number of countries in transition still reveal a number of characteristics that are derived from socialist times, and are clearly distinguishable from either common or civil law features.
