Sažetak
Nowadays, the knowledge neeaded in small and medium sized enterprises has to be specialized, on one side, and on the other, very interdisciplinary and quiceqly adaptable on the other one. In that case, the concurrent production and technology development have the key role ; they have to help them to survive, develop and even strengthen their market positions. The competitiveness of the new designed production is stipulated by the proper selection of production oriented part design and appurtenant manufacturing technologies. Optimal combination of “product – technology – market” chain results in highest possible added value and good prospects for particular enterprise. Fast re-orientation from one technology to another, change in the production fields and parallel development of several products are nowadays the most important for reliable and growing future of each enterprise. Development of the next generation of production systems is well enhanced technological development. In the field of new production systems, there are a lot of promising concepts that will inspire the concurrent production and technology development. The set-up of proper conditions and the determination of specific parameters for technological development regarding concurrent product topics strongly connected to the industrial needs will be the key activities in the enterprises market positions. Development and improvement of the concurrent product and technology are an essential base for progress in the area of small and medium sized enterprises. The good basic knowledge of all manufacturing technologies from metal forming, machining, alternative manufacturing technologies, measuring technologies as well as logistics and assembly is necessary to ensure companies sufficient technological level of competitiveness and innovation for the companies to survive on a large global market. But not only the knowledge and skill of particular field but also the capability of interdisciplinary use of all collected knowledge is of highest importance when new product is being developed and the optimal technology selected.
