Sažetak
Uniformity of the radial air jet issuing from the ceiling vortex diffuser with a side entry plenum box was investigated experimentally. Air jet velocities were measured circumferentially around diffuser under isothermal conditions. It was found that the jet was radially asymmetric and that maximum velocities occur in the part of the jet opposite the plenum box air supply entry. This asymmetry may produce uneven thermal conditions in the room occupied zone. The influence of air jet asymmetry on thermal comfort conditions remains to be quantified.
