Sažetak
The paper analyzes the strategic settings in the development of entrepreneurship based on knowledge and technology transfer, training in new technologies and the impact of development on the assurance of sustainable regional development and improve competitiveness of the economy of the region. In the first part of paper, the basic settings of regional development and regional policy as a regional approach to developing the entire national economy, were analysed. The second part defines a "business-model innovation of support center Nova Gradiska”, which was aimed at solving key development problems of the County, and a possible solution to start the technological development of Brod-Posavina County. The paper sets out the activities and training center for new technologies as one of the centers of innovation within the business support center that is being developed in order to increase the competitiveness of the workforce as a prerequisite for the overall development of the region, the competitiveness of the above areas and new employment.
