Sažetak
The results on inhibitive action of lubricant emulsions on the the corrosion of low carbon steel in hydropneumatic systems are presented. It was shown that emulsions are inhibitive over the range of concentrations studied. The lubricant was fuond to shift the corrosion potentials to positive values and to decrease the rate corrosion by blocking the reaction sites on the metal surface. The increase in coverage of the metal surface by the lubricant as well as the negative value obtained for Gads reveal that strong electrostatic interaction is largely responsible for inhibitive action of emulsions.
