Sažetak
The sliding friction loss geometrical factor Gf gives the relative magnitude of the mechanical energy losses in gear mesh. The addendum modification coefficients x1 and x2 which give the minimal value of the Gf-factor are the optimal values that will result in minimal frictional losses. Formulae for calculating these coefficients for spur and helical gears have been proposed. Differences in the x-values for spur and helical gears respectively result in very small changes of the Gf factor, so that the formulae for spur gears can be practically used for helical gears too.
